Amnesiac Hide was published on the occasion of solo exhibitions by Mike Nelson at the Contemporary Art Gallery, Vancouver from September 13th to November 3rd, 2013, and the Power Plant, Toronto from February 1st to May 19th, 2014.

The newly commissioned installation presents its audience with the notion of the lone traveler. Drawing on archetypes such as the fur trapper, the pioneering explorer, the Beatnik and the biker, Mike Nelson offers a new reading of the lone traveler, focusing on the significance of these characters in the context of masculinity and spirituality. This publication, that accompanies this new body of work, contains text contributions by Dick Hebdige, curator Jenifer Papararo and Julia Paoli, Jaki Irvine, Nigel Prince and Gaëtane Verna.

I'm very pleased with the way this shirt looks on me. Despite being a "squeeze" material, it's quite comfortable to wear. The fit, at least for me, is spot-on. Design-wise, I found that the lines on the front of the shoulders look a little odd, almost like they're supposed to the shoulder seams. But overall, I really like this shirt, and $20 for a shirt that fits this well is a steal.

Bizarre bottom hem shape

First, my stats: I’m 6 foot 1, 185 pounds. I ordered a medium size. At first glance, I liked this shirt, but after observing what the bottom looks like, I’m not even sure I want to keep this. A picture is worth many words, so take a look at the ones I included in this review. The bottom hem in the front curves down in a strange sort of “tunic” style. This renders the garment completely unwearable in my opinion, as this is not a shirt that I think would look good tucked into pants. If the bottom of the shirt was flat/straight, it would be four or five stars. As such, I’m rating this three stars because the only thing wrong with this shirt is the bottom, and this might not bother everyone else.

He also likes that it's a little longer than most muscle shirts. ​But he also loves how good it feels under sweatshirts because it is soft on the skin and doesn't create bulkiness. Surprisingly good quality and cut.
Considering that this brand tends to be a bit hit-or-miss (mostly hit) I was apprehensive about the fit and sizing. These fit so well that I bought other colours and have no issue with the sleeve length (often cheaper brands have very short sleeves) nor with the length of the body of the shirt. They look great, the fabric quality is excellent, and the colours are compatible with a broad range of pants (you can't go past black pants, black jacket/blazer, and any colour of this underneath).
